The activity leader in a language camp is responsible for planning and leading recreational and cultural activities that align with the camp's language learning and cultural objectives.
The activity leader's primary goal is to create a positive and engaging environment that promotes the camper's social, emotional, and physical development. We're looking for leaders for the following activities:

TENNIS ACTIVITY LEADERS
Our tennis camp is a part of our St. Bernard camp, in the village of Liddes which is connected to Martigny several times a day by public transport. From Geneva airport, you have every 30 minutes a train to Martigny. From Martigny, you take a train to Orsières and then a bus to Liddes.
Use 'Liddes' when you type in your destination point on the travel website www.sbb.ch
IMPORTANT: When you type in Liddes, select the one where it only says Liddes, nothing before or after that word.
You will recognise that you are at the right stop as you come into Liddes, pass the fuel station Tamoil and stop next to the tourist office and the Raiffeisen ATM.

The indoor court is used only because of terrible weather conditions (wind, rain, hurricane, tsunamis, etc). If there's a need for the indoor court - clearly communicate this with the camp leader in advance (if it's possible), and the camp leader will organise the transportation (car + driver (if you're not suitable for driving)) for you and the students to Martigny indoor court. We accept kids of all tennis levels. We can also accept advanced players, and they will require a bit more attention from your side. You will be notified about their level beforehand.

Regarding the tennis lessons program - depending on their level and general fitness, usually you can start slowly with a warmup, then you can proceed to the most basic training techniques with the racquet, small-court tennis drills, forehands and backhands training drills (we have a ball basket you will bring to the outdoor court) with the kids formed in a row, then followed up with a bit of serving and volley drills, showing them different techniques (we all know Federer has a completely different style of serving than, let's say Andy Roddick) and lastly, you can organise a mini tournament or 1-on-1 mini matches.

In order to use the courts, we need to reserve them in advance! The camp leader will reserve the courts for the first week of every season, but it is your responsibility to reserve the courts for the remaining weeks AND communicate this to the camp leader.

- OUTDOOR COURT reservations - we use the app called Plugin.ch (not available yet for iOS). Normally, this court is not used frequently so you shouldn't have any issues with the bookings. You will have to download the app on your phone and get familiar with it. The credentials are:

- INDOOR COURT reservations - we use their website, specifically the reservation page. If you do go to Martigny and use the indoor court, you will need to take the credit card with you from the camp leader and make sure to bring the invoice with you back to the chalet and give the credit card and the invoice back to the camp leader. If the invoice is forgotten, unfortunately, you will have to reimburse the costs.
If one of the students is not feeling well before the tennis lessons - we can take their wishes into consideration and leave them to rest at the chalet. However, on the very next day (i.e. Tuesday) you should approach them and ask them if they would be interested in having a quick, 1-hour tennis session with you on that day. If they say yes, you should book the court and go with them to the tennis court.
It is communicated to the parents that their kids should bring their own tennis racquets with them and 80% of them do bring it. For the kids who don't - we have spare ones in the chalet.
You are encouraged to bring your own racquet with you - in case you don't have one you will be able to use one of our own.
Beside racquets, we will have tennis balls (both green and orange ones, for different levels), ball baskets, etc. Once the lessons are over, please gather all the tennis balls and bring them back to their designated place in the chalet.

FOOTBALL ACTIVITY LEADERS
Our football camp is a part of our Schwarzsee camp, in the village of Schwarzsee, canton of Fribourg. The village is easily reachable by public transport from Fribourg.
Schwarzsee is connected with Fribourg by public transport, that circles numerous times a day by public transport. The bus station is 100m away from the campus itself.

ADVENTURE ACTIVITY LEADERS

We accept kids with all levels of fitness, although the lower age limit is a bit higher than the regular language camp - we welcome students from the age of 12 till the age of 17.
Be warned though - is some occasions we accept younger students and you should inform yourself one week earlier about the upcoming group for next week, in coordination with your camp leader. Younger kids are not so agile and tend to slow the group down, so you should consider that when planning different activities.

CODING/ART/DANCE/PHOTOGRAPHY ACTIVITY LEADERS
Our CODING, DANCE AND PHOTOGRAPHY workshops are located in Schwarzsee camp, while our ART workshop is located in Braunwald camp.
We accept all kids, from the age of 8 to 17.

Would you like to learn the art of programming and create your own website? Then this is the place for you. The workshop takes place three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). You will learn the basics of the programming language so that you will be able to create your own website by the end of the week.
This program is suitable for beginners!

Once again we invite you to participate in the summer edition of this camp, where immersion in languages passes through the prism of the practices of the arts.
We find that school education is based on a division into disciplines and often content that’s too theoretical is counterproductive for both learners and teachers. We believe that learning and remembering is about connecting, creating and making things work.
Associating practices of arts and languages allows us to connect knowledge and know-how, to make them resonate to feed a contextualised learning process.
Some examples:
The English courses and activities are transversal; they connect and answer each other. It is by multiplying the resonances within projects that are always based on the desires of students that we think to make them learn, consolidate their learning and teach them to understand.
DANCE
The dance workshop offers an introduction to street dance, mainly influenced by hip-hop, break dance and pop-it styles.
Through active involvement and playful exercises, participants discover how to feel comfortable with their bodies and how the body can be a reflection of their personality.
If you have no experience in dance and you have a huge desire, do not worry! Our program is perfectly adapted to both beginners and experienced dancers.
The classes are suitable for all ages and allow participants to work on their body awareness, the expression of their emotions through gestures and to improve their musical sensitivity.
Kids will have 2 hours of dance classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and will prepare a choreography which will be performed on campus in front of an audience Friday night during our evening program!

In this photography workshop, you will get to know the basics of the art of photography, practice, deal with landscape photography, food photography, portrait photography, and study camera settings.

SKI & SNOWBOARD ACTIVITY LEADERS
The camp in Braunwald takes place in our Adrenalin Backpacker Hostel. Here we have plenty of space: three large terraces, single, double, 4-bed, 6-bed and multi-bed rooms and a bar with syrup and other non-alcoholic delicacies! There is also a table football and a billiards table. The child-friendly and sunny ski area is a 2-minute walk away.
Braunwald is car-free and lies on a sunny terrace high above the sea of fog. The village can be reached by car from Zurich in just over an hour. Or you can use the accompanied train ride from Zurich HB with departure on Sunday afternoon.

A winter ski and language camp in Switzerland offers a unique and immersive experience for participants to learn both skiing or snowboarding and a new language in a picturesque Alpine setting. Here's a description of what ski and snowboard lessons might entail in such a camp:

For all possible reservations (i.e. ski equipment, ski slopes, etc.) you will need to be in touch with our camp leader/camp manager at all times. There might be some last-minute changes, i.e. lack of snow, and we might need to drive to another ski resort with our own vehicles.
If one of the students is not feeling well before the ski & snowboard lessons - we can take their wishes into consideration and leave them to rest and recuperate in their rooms. Of course, the camp leader must be informed about this.
